Most of the stores we searched stock AA batteries and other common battery sizes in a “Z” aisle - and one store in Utah lists AA batteries in two places: aisles Z5 and K11. We searched for “Duracell 1.5V Coppertop Alkaline AA Batteries, 8 Pack” and “Duracell Hearing Aid Batteries with Easy-Fit Tab, Size 31” availability at Walmart store locations in Florida, Illinois, Oregon, and Utah. In addition to calling several Walmart stores, we ran test searches using the Walmart app for a better idea of where you may be able to find batteries in Walmart. By setting the “Your Store” field under the “Account” tab to a specific location, you can find out if a particular item is in stock and, if so, in which aisle it’s located.
However, Walmart’s app for iOS or Google Play will usually give an item’s location in your local store - if it’s in stock. While you can search for an item on to see if it’s in stock at your local Walmart, the website does not provide store maps or the item’s in-store location. Keep in mind, store organization varies by Walmart location. For smaller batteries, like those needed for hearing aids, you’ll want to check near the pharmacy department. Your local Walmart may also display batteries in the aisle or on end-cap displays near the home goods section and/or at the front of the store. Walmart commonly stocks standard alkaline batteries (like AA and AAA) from brands like Energizer and Duracell near the electronics section, customer service representatives from several Walmart locations said.
